The Schufa Credit Score

From time to time, companies inquiring about seminars ask me to provide evidence of the financial healthiness of my training business or check my credit score.

Indeed, before awarding contracts for training and other services, it makes sense to first ensure that the contractor is in a sound financial position.

In Germany, this is most commonly measured using the Schufa Score.

A good Schufa score signals that your training business is in safe hands. My score per 11 March 2025, 03:28 PM CET, is at:

99.40% = Hervorragend (= Excellent).

What It Means

Here is Schufa’s description of the score value:

“People in this class have a score of at least 97.22%.

They have no payment defaults and have always paid bills and outstanding amounts reliably. Very long business relationships, e.g. older current accounts and credit cards, also lead to a high score.”

My electricity service provider, Stadtwerke München (SWM), is certified provider of environmentally friendly energy.

I use their offer “Ökostrom” (environmentally friendly electricity) for my office and to charge my car.
